This healthy salmon recipe is one that every home cook needs in their repertoire. It’s so easy to make, and full of health benefits! As a nutritionist, salmon is one of the proteins that I recommend everyone eat at least once a week. It’s full of heart- and brain-healthy omega 3s, monounsaturated fats, and lean protein.

The best part about salmon is how easy it is to make! My simple 5-minute Instant Pot Salmon Lemon Pepper has the most perfectly flaky texture. This skillet salmon recipe is almost as easy with a more caramelized browned crust! You’ll love the savory/sweet combination and the splash of lemon and garlic. How to Make Honey Glazed Salmon Skillets

These are the simple ingredients you will need:

  • Raw honey
  • Coconut aminos (you can also use GF Tamari sauce)
  • Lemon or lime juice
  • Avocado oil or olive oil
  • Salmon filets
  • Garlic
  • Red pepper flakes (optional for garnish)

To make this easy salmon recipe, follow these steps:

  1. Sear the salmon: once your skillet is hot, add the oil and cook the salmon until golden brown about 6 minutes on the first side before turning. Add a little more oil, then turn the garlic. Cook another 2-3 minutes before adding the sauce.
  2. Make the sauce: while sautéing the salmon, whisk in the honey, coconut amines, lemon juice and red pepper flakes (if using). Pour once the salmon is done on the first side.
  3. Thicken the sauce: after the sauce has been cooked for 2-3 minutes, it should thicken slightly. Remove salmon and serve with sauce!
